Many travelers are asking: what exactly is 'shoulder season' and why is it being promoted as a prime travel time? According to AAA, this period, often falling between peak summer and major holidays, presents a fantastic opportunity. It's a window where crowds tend to be smaller, and prices can be more attractive, making it an excellent time for spontaneous trips or well-deserved breaks. Beyond enjoying the current pleasant travel conditions, AAA also emphasizes that shoulder season is the opportune moment to get ahead on holiday travel plans. This proactive approach can alleviate the stress often associated with last-minute bookings and potentially secure better arrangements for those upcoming festive journeys.
